an astronaut in space floats freely

free, free from contact with anything but his spacesuit

this was his dream, he had made it to space

though alone, and this he did not consider

he wanted to be free from the chains of the Earth

free from the chains of the people who held him down

he broke free from all the chains, all attachment

everything and everyone was but a distant doubtful reality

still, he felt bound to something, something he couldn't quite describe

something that was always there, obscured by the Earth and everything on it

what was it? what could it be? he wondered, confused by invisible attachment

it was the only thing that never can be detached, nor extinguished

his last remaining connection was not tangible, it transcends space and time

it is the one constant in the universe that can neither be created nor destroyed

it can only bloom or wilt

it can only thrive or decay

it can only prosper or degenerate

but it CAN NOT die

it does not know death

it

it was love

love, of all and everything and everyone in every single way

it is the bond that ties everything together

it unites to make us one

each and every soul

each and everything

each and every event

love cried out in his heart, needing, wishing for it to be shared

for its purpose is to be spread, shared, and given

he never knew it was even there until he escaped to the void

in the cold, black, bottomless infinite void

he found light
